Why do iEatery process this category?

Precise location- iEatery need these data to be able to deliver consumer’s orders (or enable the restaurant consumer have ordered from to deliver it to you). iEatery create the longitude and latitude automatically in order to be able to process consumer’s delivery address in iEatery’s other linked systems, such as iEatery’s Rider app and iEatery’s merchant app, and to display consumer’s address to iEatery’s riders or riders of restaurants. For delivery purpose iEatery measure surrounding 2 square kilometers on consumer’s device. In dine-in & pickup purpose iEatery measure surrounding 5 square kilometers on consumer’s device.

Approximate location- iEatery need these data to be able to recommend which restaurant is near to consumer’s house. Without this data iEatery cannot show consumer restaurants in consumer’s city. For reason, consumer cannot order food in available restaurants near in consumer’s house.

This includes consumer’s individual device, browser, or app. For example, an IMEI number, MAC address, Wide vine Device ID, Firebase installation ID, or advertising identifier.

Why do iEatery process this category?

Each time consumer access iEatery’s platform, this information is stored by us for unauthorized activities & to identify a device or a browser. iEatery also use parts of this information to detect suspicious behavior at an early stage and to protect iEatery’s platform. iEatery used this data for displaying ads on consumer’s device, or sharing data with advertising partners. When an audience visits iEatery’s website/apps, iEatery’s third parties advertising identifier identify consumer by pixel or another tool. Then they target consumer including three subjects- Demographics, interests, and Behaviors. So that iEatery can show different social platform ads to the audience depending on these factors. Please be informed that iEatery or iEatery’s Advertising partner will never use consumer’s personal information for any other purpose than the ones mentioned above.

If consumer would like to receive an email newsletter, an SMS or an in-app push notification from us, iEatery need certain information to send consumer the messages. This category of personal data is also used by us to contact you, for example, if a food cannot be delivered and iEatery want to offer consumer an alternative instead.

   Once consumers have successfully placed consumer’s order, a number of processes are running in the background to ensure that consumer’s order is delivered quickly. 7. Enabling calls from riders, restaurants to check on consumer’s order
   If a food of consumer’s choice is not available for delivery or iEatery’s riders cannot reach consumer at the delivery address consumer provided, they have received instructions from us to call consumer so that the problem can be solved easily. Both the restaurants as well as the riders have no claim whatsoever to consumer’s personal data and under no circumstances may they use it for their own purposes. 8. Saving consumer’s payment methods
   In order to make the ordering process even more convenient for you, iEatery offer to save consumer’s preferred payment method. This means that consumer do not have to enter consumer’s payment details again the next time consumer place an order. Consumer’s payment data will be stored securely and we’ll make sure it stays encrypted at all times. Restaurants and shops will never receive consumer’s payment data.

In order to protect iEatery’s customers and iEatery’s platform from possible attacks, iEatery continuously monitor the activities on iEatery’s websites and mobile applications. To keep the platform secure and guarantee consumer a safe ordering experience, iEatery use various technical measures to ensure that suspicious behavior patterns are detected at an early stage and prevented as early as possible. To achieve this goal, several software-based monitoring mechanisms run in parallel and prevent potential attackers from damaging iEatery’s platform.
The decision-making process is automated and could potentially have an impact on the use of consumer’s registered account on iEatery’s platform. If any such decision leads to a negative result for consumer and consumer do not agree with the outcome, consumer can contact us at support@ieatery.com.bd
In this case, iEatery will individually assess the circumstances of consumer’s case. All of iEatery’s fraud detection and prevention algorithms are always open to human review. If consumer think that a mistake has been made iEatery are happy to look into it and make corrections, if necessary.

1. Newsletters and user surveys by email or text message
   If consumer have consented to receiving marketing materials from us when signing up for iEatery’s platform, iEatery may occasionally send consumer by email, SMS or other text message regular offers of goods or services similar to those offered on iEatery’s platform. iEatery are constantly striving to improve iEatery’s services. Consumer’s constructive feedback is very important to us. Therefore, iEatery’s direct marketing newsletters might also include surveys where iEatery ask for consumer’s honest feedback. So iEatery will occasionally also send consumer customer surveys and ask consumer to give us consumer’s opinion.
   
   If consumer did not consent to receiving marketing materials from us when registering consumer’s account, consumer will not receive any direct marketing emails.
   
   You are of course always free to opt out of such emails. In this case, iEatery will store consumer’s contact details in a list of customers who have objected to receiving direct marketing, to make sure iEatery can continuously comply with consumer’s objection.

Other newsletters may refer to specific products that relate to a particular flavor, such as sushi, Indian cuisine or pizza. iEatery use different information from consumer’s order history and delivery addresses to create these tailor-made offerings for you. Please be also aware that iEatery are recording, in a pseudonymous manner, key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of iEatery’s direct marketing campaigns. This includes aggregated information about the opening and click-through rate for iEatery’s direct marketing messages.
   
   This is a profiling process in which iEatery automatically process consumer’s data. The specific customer segmentation will not have a legal effect on you, nor will it similarly significantly affect you. The only effect consumer will notice are interesting offers on iEatery’s platforms, bespoke to consumer’s interests and meal preferences.
   
   Nonetheless, if this automated decision-making leads to a negative result for consumer and consumer do not agree with this, consumer can contact us at support@ieatery.com.bd. Convincing potential customers that iEatery offer an amazing customer experience and that every visit to iEatery’s platform is worthwhile, is one of iEatery’s key business priorities. In order to reach as many potential customers as possible, iEatery are very active in the field of online marketing and conduct the following online marketing activities to attract new customers to iEatery’s platform:

   In principle, targeting means simply showing online advertisements (e.g. by showing banners on websites, or delivering ads on social media service timelines) tailored to specific target groups. iEatery strive to deliver to consumer only advertisements that are in fact relevant for consumer’s interests and bring added value to consumer’s online experience.
   
   In iEatery’s targeting process, as a first step, iEatery define a target group based on certain criteria such as location, age or meal preferences and, secondly, iEatery commission iEatery’s service providers to show iEatery’s advertising to the defined target group, both on iEatery’s own websites as well as on online properties owned and operated by third-party publishers. To better define the intended target groups, iEatery segment customer types and place different ads on different portals. iEatery will use pseudonymous data for this purpose only. That means iEatery will not be able to identify individual persons within the defined target groups.
   
   In order to ensure that iEatery target appropriate advertisements to you, iEatery may also at times share consumer’s personal data, in a pseudonymized form, to iEatery’s partners (e.g. in order to identify common users of platforms). iEatery rely on the legitimate interest exception under the PDPA for the disclosure of consumer’s personal data, and have performed the required assessment for each disclosure prior to sharing. iEatery will only share consumer’s personal data to iEatery’s partners for this purpose if iEatery’s legitimate interest assessment confirms that the benefits to iEatery’s organization outweigh the adverse effects to you. 2. Retargeting
   As soon as consumer have visited iEatery’s platform and, for example, have already placed an order in consumer’s shopping cart, iEatery store this information through cookies and other web-tracking technologies. If consumer continue to surf other websites, iEatery’s advertising partners will remind consumer on iEatery’s behalf that consumer have not yet completed consumer’s order. iEatery don't want consumer to miss out on iEatery’s amazing customer experience.

If consumers refuse to give consumer’s consent, iEatery cannot offer consumer to take part in the sweepstake.    We always develop new products and try to adapt iEatery’s services to the wishes of iEatery’s customers. In order to measure the effectiveness of these changes, iEatery regularly offer interviews with iEatery’s User Experience team.    Participation in the interviews requires consumer’s consent. We have profiles on various social media platforms on which iEatery advertise iEatery’s products and interact with customers. Since iEatery operate these profiles on third-party platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, each time consumers visit these social media offerings the operators of these social media platforms collect different personal data from you. 1. Responsibilities
   We and the respective operators of the social media platforms act as joint controllers with respect to the collection of consumer’s personal data on iEatery’s social media sites, as well as the analysis of the use of iEatery’s social media sites by social media users. For this purpose, iEatery and Facebook have agreed on a joint controllership agreement in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR.
   
   Also, the operators of the social media platforms themselves are data controllers for the general use of their social media services and interactions outside iEatery’s profiles and social media sites. This sole responsibility also applies to any processing of consumer’s social media profile data for purposes other than analyzing the traffic on iEatery’s social media sites.

   Facebook provides page administrators with aggregated statistics and insights that help them understand the types of actions people take on their pages ("Page Insights"). Please be informed that iEatery only receive aggregated user reports from Facebook. At no point can iEatery attribute any page visit or other interaction to individual social media profiles.
   
   When consumer visit or interact with one of iEatery’s social media sites or its content, information such as the following may be collected and used to create Page Insights:

iEatery may sell, rent, or lease customer information to third parties for the following reasons: for advertisement/services/product purposes/delivery.

iEatery may, from time to time, contact consumer on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, consumer’s unique personally identifiable information (e- mail, name, address, telephone number) is transferred to the third party. iEatery may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send consumer email or SMS, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using consumer’s personal information except to provide these services to iEatery, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of consumer’s information.

iEatery may disclose consumer’s personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on iEatery or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of iEatery; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of iEatery, or the public.

iEatery may keep track of the websites and pages iEatery’s users visit within iEatery, in order to determine what iEatery services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within iEatery to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject/area.

We track client’s mouse movement to determine behaviors, conversions, or anything else that will help the restaurant increase their order volume.

Information about consumer’s computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by iEatery. This information can include: consumer’s IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the iEatery website.

If consumer provide us with personal data of other individuals through consumer’s use of iEatery’s platform (e.g. providing us with consumer’s friend’s name, contact details and residential address when placing a food delivery order for consumer’s friend or providing the sender’s / recipient’s delivery address and contact details through consumer’s use of iEatery), consumer hereby undertake that consumer are authorized by these individuals to disclose their personal data to us and that these individuals have consented for their personal data to be collected, used and disclosed by us for such Purposes.

Our privacy policy only applies to the apps, iEatery website but iEatery’s website/apps may have links to other websites. Therefore, when consumer are using other websites linked in iEatery’s sites and apps, please read the privacy policies of those websites.

We generally delete consumer’s data after the Purposes have been fulfilled. The exact deletion rules are defined in iEatery’s global policies and supporting local retention schedules. Different deletion rules apply depending on the purpose of the processing. Within iEatery’s deletion concepts iEatery have defined various data classes and assigned regular maximum retention and deletion periods to them. When the retention period has expired, the stored data will be deleted accordingly. If consumers have not used consumer’s user account on iEatery’s platform for a period of more than three years, iEatery will delete consumer’s account to make sure to comply with the principle of storage limitation. Before this happens, consumer will receive a separate notification from us to the email address registered for consumer’s user account.

Furthermore, iEatery will continue to store consumer’s data if iEatery have a right to do so in accordance with applicable local laws. This applies in particular if iEatery need consumer’s personal data for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

iEatery secures consumer’s personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. iEatery uses the following methods for this purpose:

কেন আমরা এই তথ্য প্রক্রিয়া করি?

সুনির্দিষ্ট অবস্থান- আপনার অর্ডারগুলি সরবরাহ করতে সক্ষম হওয়ার জন্য আমাদের এই ডেটার প্রয়োজন (অথবা আপনি যে রেস্তোরাঁ থেকে অর্ডার করেছেন তা আপনাকে সরবরাহ করতে )। আমাদের রাইডার অ্যাপ এবং আমাদের মার্চেন্ট অ্যাপের মতো আমাদের অন্যান্য লিঙ্কযুক্ত সিস্টেমে আপনার ডেলিভারির ঠিকানা প্রক্রিয়া করতে এবং আমাদের রাইডার বা রেস্তোরাঁর রাইডারদের কাছে আপনার ঠিকানা প্রদর্শন করতে সক্ষম হওয়ার জন্য আমরা স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে দ্রাঘিমাংশ এবং অক্ষাংশ তৈরি করি। ডেলিভারির উদ্দেশ্যে আমরা আপনার ডিভাইসে প্রায় 2 বর্গ কিলোমিটার পরিমাপ করি। ডাইন-ইন এবং পিকআপের উদ্দেশ্যে আমরা আপনার ডিভাইসে প্রায় 5 বর্গ কিলোমিটার পরিমাপ করি।

আনুমানিক অবস্থান- আপনার বাড়ির কাছাকাছি কোন রেস্তোরাঁ আছে তা সুপারিশ করতে আমাদের এই ডেটার প্রয়োজন। এই ডেটা ছাড়া আমরা আপনাকে আপনার শহরের রেস্টুরেন্টগুলি দেখাতে পারব না। কারণে, আপনি আপনার বাড়ির কাছাকাছি উপলব্ধ রেস্টুরেন্টে খাবার অর্ডার করতে পারবেন না।
