About iEatery and this Privacy Policy
iEatery Ltd. (collectively, "iEatery," "we," "us," "site," or "our"), but usually we just use the name iEatery. We are committed to protecting your privacy. iEatery is an online food-ordering platform where you (the customer) can enjoy delightful food experiences from your home.

This privacy policy explains how iEatery collects and uses customer information that has been provided by customers when using our services, including iEatery’s website (https://www.ieatery.com.bd/) and mobile application (app). We collect information about customers in order to provide them with the best possible online food ordering experience and quality services.

By visiting our website, signing up, or ordering something, you (the customer) consent to our privacy policy. This policy applies to all personal data obtained through the use of our website or app.
Section 1: What information does iEatery collect about customers & How?
iEatery collects information from customers when they visit our website (https://www.ieatery.com.bd/), use our mobile application (app), or order food via our website or mobile application (app).

When customers use our website or app, we collect the customer’s GPS location (where applicable), crash logs, and device ID, and, when making an order, the customer’s Address and Phone number, First Name/Last Name. iEatery also collect and store additional information like Email Address(optional), Photo(optional). Customers can view the full list of collected information in the profile section on the web/app. You can also view the full list of collected information in the section-9

iEatery does not collect any personal information about a customer unless customers voluntarily provide it to us.

Customers can have choices, the information like to share with us. Note that, however, that when signing up for our platform, you are required to accept our terms of use. You enter into an agreement with us under which you are entitled to use the platform in accordance with the Terms of Use. We collect some information from you to be able to perform our obligations under this contract. However, it is optional whether you provide this type of information or not; providing the information is necessary to use our platform.
Section 2: How will we use the information we collect from you?
GPS location(optional)- we use this to serve you(customer) nearby restaurant & deliver to your(customer) order.

Device or Other ID’s- we use these for fraud prevention, security, personalization, and account management. Also, send in-app notifications or push notifications.

Password- To identify you (the customer) for personalization and security purposes.

Customer's personal information- (number, address, and First/Last name) is sent to the delivery team for delivery. Without this, we cannot deliver food.

Crash logs- We also receive reports of app use crash logs from Firebase Crashlytics in order to continually improve your experience with our apps and services.

Gallery/Camera access(optional)- To upload your (customer's) profile photo, you (the customer) can use this or you (the customer) can skip it.

Payment data- We don't store or access any payment data. We just store the Transaction ID , when he/she(customer) payment online like Bkash, Nagad, Rocket and Upay. Those (Bkash, Nagad Rocket, Upay) mobile banking provides us with a Transaction ID to ensure your(customer) payment.

Remember that iEatery will never use your personal information for any other purpose other than the ones mentioned above.

We take security seriously and take precautions to protect your personal information. We keep customer information in secured and we have established appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard this information.

It is not applicable to third-party sites that our website or app may link to. The privacy policies listed in the Third-Party Sites shall be applicable in such cases.
Section 4: An overview of the personal data iEatery process
At iEatery, customer privacy and security are iEatery’s top priorities. In this section, you can find general information about the categories of personal data that iEatery processes about the customer. For customer’s understanding, personal data is information that directly identifies the customer (such as the customer’s name, phone number, and address). Customers will find more detailed information on iEatery’s data processing activities below, in the next section.
4.1 Profile data (master data)
This includes the consumer’s First/Last name, password, Phone number, and, delivery address.

Why does iEatery process this category?

This data is the customer’s master data, which iEatery absolutely needs for iEatery’s services. Without the customer’s name, phone number, and password, the customer cannot create a profile. This is the customer’s master data.
4.2 Profile data (additional data)
This includes customer’s profile photo, email address

Why does iEatery process this category?

This data is customer’s additional data, customer can skip this. This data use for account management.
4.3 Delivery data
This includes the customer’s first and last name, delivery address, and phone number; order details (what food was ordered and how much it cost); payment details (cash on delivery or online payments); and order ID (just a few numbers). like 5421 or 5422. It needs to specify the order.

Note: We don't store & access any payment details.

Why does iEatery process this category?

We need those data to deliver your(customer) food. Without this, we cannot deliver the order to your location.
4.4 Order history data
These include the customer’s order history (that is, whether the order is complete or incomplete, canceled or rejected, its details will be here), invoices (what food was ordered and how much it cost), and order ID (it's just a few numbers). like 5421 or 5422. It needs to specify the order), comments on orders (Review), information on payment method (mean cash on delivery or online payments), delivery address.



Why does iEatery process this category?

Each time a customer places an order, this information will be added to the customer’s profile. The customer can view all this information in their profile at any time.
iEatery will use this information to improve iEatery's services and optimize the platform for customer’s interests.
4.5 Location data
This includes the customer’s address, postcode, city, country, and the customer’s device’s longitude and latitude. Also include GPS location (Approximate location, precise location)

Why does iEatery process this category?

Precise location- iEatery needs these data to be able to deliver your (customer’s) orders (or enable the restaurant so that you (customers) can order from it and it can be delivered to you). iEatery creates the longitude and latitude automatically in order to be able to process your (the customer’s) delivery address. For delivery purposes, iEatery measures 2 square kilometer’s in a radius circle around your (the customer's) device. For dine-in and pickup purposes, iEatery measures 5 square kilometers in a circle around your (the customer's) device.

Approximate location- iEatery needs these data to be able to recommend which restaurant is near the customer’s location. Without this data, iEatery cannot show you(customer) restaurants in your(customer) city. For reason, you (customers) cannot order food in available restaurants near your (customer) house.
4.6 Device or other IDs
This includes your(customer's) individual device, browser, or app. For example, Device ID, Firebase installation ID

Why does iEatery process this category?

Each time a customer enters iEatery’s platform (app or website), this information is stored by us to prevent unauthorized activities and to identify a device or browser. iEatery also uses parts of this information to detect suspicious behavior at an early stage and to protect iEatery’s platform. Also, to send in-app notifications or push notifications.
4.7 App Data
This includes Crash logs.

Why does iEatery process this category?

This action is needed to measure the performance of iEatery’s app and provide better results to customers. We receive reports of app crash logs from Firebase Crashlytics in order to continually improve customer’s experience with our apps and services.
Section 5: iEatery’s detailed processing activities and processing purposes
iEatery processes customer’s personal data only in accordance with relevant data protection laws. iEatery pays particular attention to the fact that all principles for the processing of personal data are taken from account. Therefore, iEatery only processes customer’s data if this is lawful and the customer can reasonably expect it to be processed.

In order to be able to offer customers iEatery’s services, the processing of personal data is essential. customers do provide us with some of this data of their own accord by entering our web/app on customer's devices. Other data iEatery collects automatically when customers are using iEatery’s platforms(app/website).

iEatery processes customer’s personal data for the following purposes ("Purposes"):
5.1 Creating and operating the customer’s account; delivering the customer’s orders
  1. Account Creation
    When creating a customer account, you (the customer) will be asked to enter the customer’s master data. This is absolutely necessary, as iEatery cannot create a customer profile without this data. The customer’s phone number and first and last name are particularly important, as iEatery can use this information to identify the customer in iEatery’s system the next time the customer wants to log in again. Furthermore, iEatery would like to ask customer to choose their passwords carefully.

    If customers already have an account, they will need to enter their phone number and password to log in.

  3. Managing customer’s Profile
    Customers can log in to their profile at any time and change their personal data, such as their first or last name, email address, or password. Customers can also view their previous orders.

  4. Order Processing
    Once the customer has successfully registered and decided to place an order, iEatery will store this information in the customer’s profile and process it in further steps so that the customer can submit a customer order to us.

  5. Storing customer’s cart for later
    After customer have logged in to customer’s profile and made customer’s selection, the products will be saved in customer’s profile. If the customer accidentally closes his or her browser or app, the consumer can continue to the last point of his or her order. iEatery stores this data to provide him/her with a better ordering experience where he/she can conveniently continue his/her order with browsers or apps that are accidentally closed.

  6. Delivering customer’s order
    Once customers have successfully placed his/her order, a number of processes are running in the background(website/app) to ensure that his/her order is delivered quickly.

  7. App Notifications
    iEatery has a strong interest in informing the customer about new restaurants or deals when using the app. iEatery is always working to give you (the customer) an amazing customer experience. To achieve this, iEatery negotiates very good deals for customers. To inform customers about these deals, iEatery may send you (the customer) in-app notifications or push notifications, if you have chosen to activate this feature on your (the consumer’s) devices.

Section 6: Personal data of other individuals
If a customer provides us with personal data of other individuals through the customer’s use of iEatery’s platform (app or website) (e.g., providing us with a customer friend’s name, contact details, and delivery address when placing a food delivery order for a customer friend), the customer hereby undertakes that the consumer is authorized by these individuals to disclose their personal data to us and that these individuals have consented for their personal data to be collected, used, and disclosed by us for such purposes.
